Rule Three is a serious thing to live by! I had a conversation with my mom that basically consisted of me saying “stop asking. I’ll let you know if things get serious enough that you need to know about it.” I know she’ll just hop of the phone and tell all of my relatives. No thank you!!

So true! The last guy I dated for any length of time I put in my phone with only his first name, then “(Jane’s friend)” next to it, because I met him at a party at Jane’s house and didn’t know his last name at first. I never did change that; I always felt that taking that out and putting his last name would suggest that I was giving the (non)relationship some kind of permanence in my mind.

Good for you! It’s wise to have standards. A guy who didn’t get a job until age 28 because he didn’t have to will likely expect a woman to wait on him and probably not want to leave behind his cushy deal of free rent and his parents paying all his bills!

just found your blog and love it. But might I advise you not to have the wedding in Ireland….purely for aesthetic reasons as it RAINS all the time. No I am not joking it really does on my wedding day I woke to sunshine, had rain when entering the church, sunshine leaving the church, hailstones when having photos done and then it snowed on route to reception, my brother has a candid shot of my trying to get snow out hair, veil and cleavage! All of this in the month of april. hope your dreams come true are here is an irish blessing to help you

I too love sports, and you’d think that most guys love it too. Unfortunately, it seems that because I can outdo them in that department(I have a knack for knowing useless stats) they back off. Sigh…I guess I’ll just have to keep the teams to myself.
